Work with people who know the gear . . .

As the touring industry sets the trends in live audio, lighting and video production, Delicate Productions is working closely with equipment manufacturers in product development and application.  When David Martin introduced the Martin Audio F2 modular speaker system in 1988, Delicate was the first to test its application in the U.S. touring market.  Continuing on with Dave Martin’s legacy of innovative loudspeaker systems, Martin Audio flew in a 24 cabinet prototype rig from England for Delicate to debut the W8L line array at the 2001 KROQ Acoustic Christmas show at the Universal Amphitheater.  Over the last twenty-five years professional equipment manufacturers have relied on Delicate’s expertise for feedback on the latest technology: multi-effects, high output moving lights, mega channel digital lighting control, line array speaker systems, digital audio processing and mixing, high power video projection, video as lighting control and instruments and more.

Work with people who know how to get things done . . .

Eight o’clock in the morning rolls around pretty quick after the midnight load-out at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes Barre, PA the night before.  The Delicate lighting and video crews make a stop in catering for a little caffeine boost, as the truck doors open for the Yanni tour load-in at Radio City Music Hall , New York City.  Pre-rig started at seven, the motors are in, next the truss structure and the moving lights are flown out, now floor lighting is installed and they finish up with control all the while projection is flown and installed.  The lighting rig consists of over 200 moving lights, conventional lights and special effects.  Back to catering for some dinner, the house doors open, the camera ops are in position, the spot ops are in position, the lighting board op is in position; it’s show time.  The last encore is over, the house lights are up, control is loaded back into cases, floor lighting is put back in cases, the truss is flown in, the truss and moving lights are put in/on the case/dollies, the motors are cased up, the stagehands load the gear onto the trucks, truck doors close and the crew load into the tour buses.  They are on to the next show.

Bill Sage, Sales ManagerAfter a stint in radio, Bill got a taste of live audio and didn’t look back.  His day job, he tech’d events for prominent San Francisco sound company McCune A/V; hardly considering it a job, he mixed Bill Graham club acts by night.  Even Red’s Java Hut couldn’t keep him from leaving San Francisco to take a shot at the dominant L.A. entertainment scene.  With resume in hand, he showed up one day at Delicate Productions and left with a system plot in hand.  Since then he toured worldwide as a sound engineer and production manager.   In the summer of 2003, when Bill was ready to give up the road, Delicate Electronics took advantage of the opportunity.  As Sales Manager he has actively pursued means to add value to our products and services by obtaining his Contractor’s License and manufacturer and association certifications, engaging our technicians in further education and promoting excellence in customer service.

Lori Burke, Director/Customer Service ManagerBeing a Delicate lifer, the most important things Lori learned working for the production division were time is of the essence, pay attention to detail and how to take a good wind up.  As the company diversified into sales she jumped in.  Starting off with mostly individual sales, under her care, the sales division developed into a full service system design and installation company.  She will delicately care for your orders.
