The Saratoga Federated Renovation Team: Bruce McFarling, Larry Hester, Marguerite McAfee, Jerry, Bruce and Pastor of Worship and Music Kevin Friesen Saratoga put thoughtful planning into restoring their 1920's sanctuary. Delicate Electronics' job was to configure an audio, lighting and video system to blend into the classic structure. The difference is in the details recommended by consultant and engineer Curtis Kelly: a single Martin Audio W8LM/LMD mini line array custom painted to perfectly match the interior; Stewart CinePerf electric projection screens over the organ bays; prewired circuits for lighting fixtures run along ceiling trusses to allow for system expansion and Bag End D12E-DA subwoofers built into the low profile "stage." EAW JF50 speakers were installed for front-fill and EV ceiling speakers line the narthex and cry room. The main PA is mixed on a Crest Audio X8 console. They opted for the Aviom A-16 personal system supplemented by Shure P600 in-ear systems for monitoring. The whole system is run
through BSS Soundweb London digital control for touch-pad access to different program modes. Service visuals are generated with ETC Source 4 par, ellipsoidal and parnel instruments controlled by ETC Unison dimmers and an ETC Smartfade 1248 lighting console. DVD, VHS or computer service content is sent run through the Extron Crosspoint 300 matrix switcher which outputs to two Eiki LX-X7 projectors 5500 ANSI lumen projectors that light up the Stewart screens. |
